Destructive testing (mechanical testing)
Destructive testing laboratory is accredited by the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau (LATAK) in accordance with LVS EN ISO 17025. Accredited institution number is T-177.
Experts of the laboratory conduct tests of samples of various materials by the following methods:
- Hardness testing. LVS EN ISO 9015-1-2011. Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Hardness testing - Part 1: Hardness test on arc welded joints (ISO 9015-1:2001)
- Bend test. LVS EN ISO 7438: 2021. Bend test (ISO 7438:2020) and LVS EN ISO 5173:2010 - Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials. Bend tests (EN ISO 5173:2009)
- Impact test. LVS EN ISO 148-1:2017. Metallic materials - Charpy pendulum impact test - Part 1: Test method (ISO 148-1:2016) and LVS EN ISO 9016:2013. Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials. Impact tests. Test specimen location, notch orientation and examination (LVS EN ISO 9016:2012)
- Tensile test (transverse). LVS EN ISO 4136:2013. Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Transverse tensile test (ISO 4136:2012)
- Tensile testing. LVS EN ISO 6892-1:2020. Metallic materials - Tensile testing - Part 1: Method of test at room temperature (ISO 9016:2019)
- Fracture test. LVS EN ISO 9017:2018. Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Fracture test. (ISO 9017:2017)
- Macroscopic examination of welds. LVS EN ISO 17639:2013. Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Macroscopic and microscopic examination of welds (ISO 17639:2003).
